There is no set rulebook for what constitutes art; it can be found everywhere in infinite forms and most importantly within everyone, you simply have to believe it.
Behind the glitz and glamour of the fashion industry is the augmenting pressure of exclusivity, excessive workload, discrimination and the expectation to have an unlimited source of innovative and creative ideas. These pressures have proven to be detrimental to the mental health of many aspiring young creatives, resulting in many dropping out of schooling, giving up on their dreams and on themselves. According to the Business of Fashion’s 2018 ranking, the official graduation rate of the undergraduate class of the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Antwerp is only 23%, which is 44% lower than the average 67% graduation rate for the rest of the country. Four years later in 2022, the rate remains the same. It is our vision to be a leading force in rejecting the notion that in order to be successful you must follow this outdated trajectory.
